Mallorca Underground Adventure: From Pirate Cave to Drach Wonders

Discover two of Mallorca’s most spectacular underground treasures in a unique experience that very few travelers get to enjoy.

This exclusive full-day excursion begins in Porto Cristo, where you’ll set sail towards one of the island’s most impressive and untamed sea caves: Cova des Coloms, also known as the Pirate Cave.

After a short boat ride, you’ll arrive at this incredible natural sanctuary hidden along the coast. For approximately 2 hours, you’ll explore its interior accompanied by expert guides. You’ll have the chance to swim, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, and discover the cave’s stunning rock formations, straight out of an adventure story.

After this first experience, you’ll have time to shower and change before continuing your journey to one of Mallorca’s most iconic landmarks: the Drach Caves.

Formed between 11 and 5.3 million years ago, these caves are among the most impressive underground landscapes in the Mediterranean. A spectacular lighting display reveals a world of stalactites, stalagmites, and subterranean lakes that feel almost otherworldly.

Inside, you’ll find the famous Lake Martel, one of the largest underground lakes in the world. Here, you’ll enjoy a magical classical music concert performed on the water, a tradition dating back to 1935 that makes the visit truly unforgettable.

An excursion that blends adventure, nature, and culture, discovering two completely different caves in one day:

one wild and hidden, the other legendary and breathtaking.

Duration: Approximately 8 hours from the meeting point or pick-up location.

Difficulty level: Easy. No prior experience is required, but you must feel comfortable in the water.

Accessibility:

• Not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
• The route includes rocky areas, sea entry, and uneven surfaces.

Water temperature: Between 18°C and 24°C depending on the season. A wetsuit is provided for your comfort.

Minimum age: Recommended from 8 years old (as long as participants can swim and feel comfortable in the water).

Important: The activity depends on weather and sea conditions. It may be modified for safety reasons.

Meeting point / Pick-up: Departure from Porto Cristo or pick-up available in selected areas.

South Zone (Palma, Calvià, Can Pastilla, Arenal)

The tour officially starts at 9:30 AM at Camino Escollera and finishes around 5:00 PM at the same location. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time.

Alternatively, we offer a free pick-up service between Calvià and Arenal. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive the closest pick-up point and time to your accommodation.

• Swimsuit, towel, comfortable footwear, water, and sunscreen.
• Photography is allowed inside the caves, but flash is strictly prohibited.
• Touching the rock formations is not permitted.

• Cancellations or modifications made up to 24 hours before departure time: 100% refund or free date change.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure: a medical certificate will be required to qualify for a refund or change.
• Without proof, 100% of the booking amount will be charged.

Schedules and itineraries may be subject to changes due to operational reasons, weather conditions or force majeure. In the event of cancellation by the company, and if rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
