Overview
Travel through the history and nature of Mallorca on a century-old train that will take you between mountains, orange groves and dreamlike landscapes to the heart of Sóller and its charming port.
The legendary wooden train of Sóller takes us through the Sierra de Alfabia in the Tramuntana and the Valley of Sóller, between orange groves, olive trees, tunnels and steep mountains, offering an unforgettable experience.
Arriving in Sóller, its main square invites you to relax on a terrace overlooking the church of San Bartolomé and the Sóller's bank, both in the modernist style designed by Joan Rubió, a disciple of Gaudí. Its old stately homes reflect the history of the merchants who made their fortune trading oranges in France. The railway, inaugurated at the beginning of the 20th century, broke the isolation of Sóller, facilitating the transport of passengers and goods.
From the village, we take the wooden tram to the Port of Sóller, a natural harbour surrounded by mountains with a rich maritime history. Once a trading centre and coveted by pirates, today it offers unique landscapes and activities to enjoy.
This half-day trip is specifically addressed to those travelers who do not count on much time and are concretely interested in experiencing the Soller train and tramway rides.
In case that you prefer to spend longer time on each destination, we highly advise to book our Mallorca Grand tour instead.
