As a local DMC, our role not only consists in making travel happen for our customers, but also in using the massive transversal power of tourism in order to build worthwhile linkages to other spheres and activities, whose players, just like us, are immersed on a seamless and challenging journey where all 3 Big Ps (People, Planet, Prosperity) are sought to be fairly counterweighted.
Some concrete actions inherent to our roadmap and daily operations:
1. Coordinate and manage all the components that make up our destinations, calling for a coalition of a wide range of stakeholders and interests, appealing to both a local and a planetary mindset.
2. Strengthen the quality of the visitor's experience, memories and knowledge by promoting cross-cultural understanding and delivering nurturing and respectful experiences.
3. Foster our insular cultural diversity, identity and heritage.
4. Create specific travel products for concrete visitor segments.
5. Create linkages to other sectors in order to locally spread the benefits of Tourism.
6. Collaborate with host communities, public and private stakeholders in order to enhance infrastructure and logistical improvements, manage and monitor impacts by seamless consultation.
7. Raise awareness by sharing environmental and sociocultural information with both visitors and hosts.
8. Allocating part of the financial profit to flora and fauna conservation and green energy projects.
9. Support scientific initiatives and research (ecologists, biologists, geologists, archaeologists).
In a nutshell, our commitment heads towards creating a "Tourism ecosystem" in the Balearic islands that can be extrapolated to other mature destinations and positively influence other sectors by prioritizing the collaboration with other businesses and organizations which are also in pursuit of a more holistic approach.
