Diving in Santa Ponsa

This scuba diving experience is designed to introduce you to the basics of diving while exploring some of the best underwater areas in Mallorca. It is ideal for beginners who want to take their first steps beneath the sea and discover the island’s impressive and diverse seabed in a safe and guided environment.

Mallorca offers perfect conditions for first-time divers thanks to its shallow waters and low difficulty dive sites, making this activity suitable for both children and adults. It’s a memorable experience to enjoy with family or as a first contact with the underwater world.

For more experienced divers, the activity can be adapted to improve technique and explore more advanced dive sites with greater depth. You will discover sea caves, posidonia meadows and Mediterranean coral reefs, always accompanied by professional guides and high-quality equipment.

• Important: You cannot dive if you have to fly the same day. If you’ve done a no-decompression dive, you must wait a minimum of 12 hours before boarding a plane.
• Location: Santa Ponsa Marina, Calvià – Mallorca.
• Start time: Most dives are scheduled in the morning. Exact time will be confirmed after booking. Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance.
• Available options:

– Discover Scuba Diving: For first-timers. Includes a short theory session, shallow water training and a supervised dive (max. 6 meters).

– 1 dive (for certified divers): Boat trip with one guided dive at a top local site.

– 2 dives (for certified divers): Two consecutive dives from the boat exploring the underwater landscapes of Calvià.

• Fitness level: You must be able to swim and be in good health. Not suitable for people with heart, respiratory or ear issues, or pregnant persons without medical clearance.
• Minimum age:

– Discover Scuba Diving: From 10 years old

– Certified dives: From 12 years old with a valid diving license

• Certification:

– Not required for Discover Scuba Diving

– Required for certified dives (Open Water or equivalent)

• Weather conditions: Subject to sea and weather conditions. In case of cancellation due to safety reasons, an alternative or reschedule will be offered.
• Recommendations: Bring swimwear, towel and dry clothes. Avoid bringing valuables as their safety cannot be guaranteed during the activity.

Cancellation and change policy:

• Cancellations or modifications made up to 24 hours before departure time: 100% refund or free date change.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure: a medical certificate will be required to qualify for a refund or change.
• Without proof, 100% of the booking amount will be charged.
